Welcome to the Overlook in Lincoln City
The Place to Be for all Seasons
|
Generations of Traditions
The Overlook provides breathtaking views of
the spectacular Oregon Coast. Perched directly above an expansive beach, this
little gem is an ideal spot for viewing tranquil summer sunsets, as well as
majestic winter storms. Whale watching is a popular past time all year long, and
the Overlook's location offers abundant sightings. Miles of sandy beach are down
a stairway. Take a walk in the sand, explore a tide pool, search for glass
floats, build a sandcastle, enjoy the seals frolicking in the waves, or just
inhale the ocean air and listen to the roar of the pounding surf. In every
season the Oregon Coast provides a place for reflection and renewal, and the
Overlook has been a large part of this tradition for generations of families. |
A Little About Us.....
The Overlook is a cozy, Scandinavian
style cliff-house. This collection of charming individual apartments is nestled
on a bluff with spectacular, panoramic views of the ocean and miles of sandy
beach. Built as a home in the 1930's it was added on to and updated through the
years. Keeping our "Old World Charm," we were converted into an
apartment/condominium in 1971. All of our unit
are ocean front and provide
sweeping views of the coastline. They are homey, warm, and inviting. Each unit
is individually owned by families who have opened their homes for you to enjoy.
Our apartments have full kitchens with refrigerators, stoves, microwaves, coffee
makers, cooking utensils, and dinnerware. All have color TVs with cable and DVDs. Some units
have dishwashers, VCRs and fireplaces, most units
have decks or patios. All bedding linens and towels are provided. We have a
variety of rooms, sleeping arrangements, and bed sizes to accommodate the needs
of our guests. We love pets and hope you will bring yours. With the beautiful
beach down the stairs or roadway, the Overlook is your home to relax and enjoy.
So take time to browse through the pictures and videos of our accommodations and
see how unique we are. Then, join the generations of people who have returned
and extended the tradition to their own families. You may even find their
entries in our journals that date back over thirty years. |
